Woman Suffers From Rare Foreign Accent Syndrome

Karen Butler woke up speaking a British accent after being heavily sedated for dental surgery. MSNBC reports that she is suffering from foreign accent syndrome, a rare disorder that only affects about 100 people worldwide. She grew up in Oregon, but woke up afer surgery with an accent described as "Irish, Scottish and northern British, with perhaps a dash of Australian and South African." Preliminary tests suggest she has no neurological conditions other than her voice changing. Take a look:
