Large Vortex in Lake Texoma

This video of a large intake vortex at Lake Texoma has been viraling around the Internet since it was filmed late last month. The video was filmed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Tulsa District.
Lake Texoma is located on the border between Texas and Oklahoma. The vortex formed as water started to drain from the lake. Both Texas and Oklahoma had record rainfall in May. Tropical Storm Bill dropped yet more rain on the soggy states in June.
The Tulsa District U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has been asking people to avoid the vortex. They say the vortex is eight feet in diameter and it is "capable of sucking in a full-sized boat." They have also been warning residents to be on the look out for displaced venomous creatures, such as water moccasins, in high water areas. Take a look:
