Video: Spotted Eagle Rays and Galapagos Garden Eels

Posted on June 28, 2012

This video clip is from the BBC Natural history series Galapagos. It shows gorgeous Spotted Eagle Rays thriving in waters near the Galapagos islands.

The rays eat mollusks and crustaceans found in the soil near the volcanic rock on the sea floor. Numerous nervous Galapagos garden eels can also be seen in the clip. They are frightened of the rays, even though the rays don't eat them.
