Video: Bonaire Banded Box Jellyfish Swimming

The Bonaire Banded Box Jellyfish is an impressive looking jellyfish with an equally impressive sting. It has been named one of the Top 10 New Species of 2012 by ASU. The box jellyfish has striking red and yellow colored tentacles. It was given the scientific name, Tamoya ohboya, by a high school teacher during an online contest, because people encountering it (or being stung by it) often exclaim, "Oh boy!" The jellyfish was discovered in the waters off the island of Bonaire in the Dutch Caribbean.
