Velvet Worm Traps Victims With Sticky Goo

If you are an insect the velvet worm is a fearsome predator. The worm sprays its intended victim with an adhesive goo that it fires from two slime glands. The threads of sticky goo, which is 90% water, start to solidify and entrap the victim more and more as the water evaporates. Once its victim has been immobilized, the velvet worm reclaims its goo by eating it. Then it consumes its victim. Take a look:
