Video: Vampire Bats Feed on Sleeping Pig

Vampire bats feed on a sleeping pig in the video from National Geographic. The little bats have heat-detecting molecules on the nerve endings of their noses.

This enables them to pinpoint the parts of the pig where blood is flowing close to the surface. The vampire bats' saliva contains an enzyme that prevents the pig's blood from clotting. They can drink half their weight in blood. Take a look:
