Tigon Born at Yancheng Wildlife Park in China

A Tigon, a rare genetically fragile hybrid cross between a male tiger and a lioness, was born at the Yancheng Wildlife Park in China. This is thought to be only the tenth tigon in the world. Tigons are also called tiglons or tions. Unfortunately, the chances of the little tigon surviving are not good. The tigon's sibling perished shortly after birth. ITN says the tigon stands just a one in 500,000 chance of survival although it is not clear how they came up with these odds given there are so few of the creatures. Take a look:
