Startup Envisions Taco Delivery by Quadcopter

Posted on March 26, 2012

A startup plans to deliver tacos using drones. Popular Science reports that TacoCopter promises to have quadcopters deliver tacos to your location.

The startup's slogan is "Our unmanned delivery agents are fast and work tirelessly."

The TacoCopter site also says, try LobsterCopter on the east coast.

Having tacos, lobster or even a pizza delivered by a quadcopter would be fun, but this is not going to happen anytime soon. It also is not currently legal. It may also be impractical as thugs or unruly teenagers may steal the tacos and/or the quadcopters.

The FAA is reportedly going to open up the U.S. airspace to drones in 2015, so maybe this will enable future businesses that provide food delivery via flying robots to thrive.
