Astronauts Kick Soccer Ball on the International Space Station

NASA released this entertaining video of astronauts kicking a soccer ball around on the International Space Station (ISS). NASA also released the above image that shows the relative size of the International Space Station compared to a soccer field. NASA says the ISS complex now has "more livable room than a conventional six-bedroom house, and has two bathrooms, a gymnasium and a 360-degree bay window."

The astronauts in the video include U.S. astronauts Alexander Wiseman and Steve Swanson and German astronaut Alexander Gerst. The astronauts say they will be watching World Cup 2014 aboard the ISS. They wish the teams and fans a fun and peaceful World Cup. They then start kicking a soccer ball (football) around and performing scissor kicks aboard the ISS. Take a look:
