Slow Moving Wyoming Landslide Splits Home in Two

A slow moving landslide in Wyoming has split a hillside home in two parts. The landslide is also creeping toward a resort town. In addition to the damaged home, there have been evacuations and damage to the parking lots of local business. A Walgreens parking lot has been buckled by the landslide. The CS Monitor reports that the landslide was initially only moving at about one inch per day.

CBS Evening News reports that engineers say they don't expect the slow moving landslide to damage more homes. They also don't think the landslide will come down all at once. A local report from the Jackson Hole News quotes experts saying the slide has been speeding up and is now moving in feet per day instead of inches. Take a look:
