Scientists Teach iCub Robot to Crawl Like a Baby, Pour Cereal in a Cup

iCub is a humanoid robot that was developed as part of the EU project RobotCub. It was later adopted by more than 20 laboratories worldwide. iCub has 53 motors that move the head, arms & hands, waist, and legs. It can see and hear. It also has the sense of proprioception (body configuration) and movement (using accelerometers and gyroscopes). Most reecently iCub was taught to crawl like a baby. Take a look:

Earlier this year iCub's grasping skills were improved. It can also respond to spoken language instructions and talk about what it is doing. In this video, iCub learns how to pour cereal into a cup. iCub asks for help when he doesn't know what to do. Take a look:
