Researchers Invent Snakebot That Climbs Up Trees and Looks Around

Reseearchers at the Biorobotics Lab at Carnegie Mellon University have developed a snake robot, called Snakebot, that can climb a tree and have a look around. The Snakebot's tree climbing capability is somewhat limited - it would have trouble with trees with large trunks and would have trouble navigating around branches. It is still an impressive looking robot. Once perfected it could become an amazing spying and security device. Take a look:
