Researchers Create World's Thinnest Transparent Display on the Surface of a Soap Bubble

Researchers have created the world's thinnest transparent screen using soap bubbles. The international team of researchers, led by Yoichi Ochiai from the University of Tokyo, are using ultrasonic waves to alter the properties of the membrane screen. Ochiai says on his blog that the membrane screen can be controlled with ultrasonic vibrations.
Ochiai says, "The combination of the ultrasonic waves and ultra thin membranes makes more realistic, distinctive, and vivid imageries on screen. This system contributes to open up a new path for display engineering with sharp imageries, transparency, BRDF and flexibility."
