Report: Tumbleweeds Taking Over Some Colorado Neighborhoods

CNN reports that tumbleweeds are taking over Colorado neighborhoods. Some people are reportedly getting trapped in their homes because of the rolling weeds. Tumbleweeds can block the side of a house, bury cars and fill up a garage if the door is accidentally left open. CNN says high winds are being blamed for the large number of tumbleweeds in neighborhoods this year. Some homeowners yards are completely filled with tumbleweeds. Take a look:

A CBS Denver story says tumbleweed piles are ten feet high in some places. The report says some people were literally trapped in their homes.

Tumbleweeds can also get sucked into a firenado and add fuel to the blaze as io9 notes. Take a look:
