Quadrocopters Cooperate to Throw and Catch a Ball

Quadrocopters can now cooperate to throw and catch a ball thanks to researchers at ETH Zurich's Flying Machine Arena. The researchers had to create several novel algorithms to give the quadrocopters this ability. The quadrocopters use an elastic net to toss the ball into the air and then catch. They also use the net to toss a ball through a hoop. Take a look:
