New Zealand Land Snail Consumes Earthworm in Sudden, Rapid Attack

This video shows a New Zealand land snail consuming an earthworm with a sudden, rapid attack. Powelliphant are native to New Zealand. A New Zealand government document describes (PDF) the snails as large, nocturnal snails that can live up to 30 years.

The article also says the snails are "voracious carnivores, sucking up earthworms through their mouths like strings of spaghetti."
