NASA Space Telescopes Reveal Stormy Atmosphere of Brown Dwarf

Posted on January 12, 2013

NASA's Hubble and Spitzer space telescopes have revealed weather patterns on a brown dwarf named 2MASSJ22282889-431026. Brown dwarfs can have atmospheres similar to gas giants. NASA says observations from Hubble and Spitzer indicate there are wind-driven, planet-size clouds on the brown dwarf.
