NASA Releases Video of M-Class Solar Flare

NASA has released images and video of a M6.5 solar flare which erupted from the sun on April 2, 2014. M class flares are ten times less intense than X-class flares, the most intense type of flares. An M6 class flare is six times as intense as an M1 flare. The eruption was recorded by NASA's Solar Dynamics Observatory (SDO). The image above shows the flare in a blend of two wavelengths of extreme ultraviolet light: 131 Angstroms and 171 Angstroms, colorized in yellow and red, respectively. Take a look:
