NASA Releases Mars Evolution Animation

NASA created this animation showing the evolution of Mars over billions of years. The video starts with Mars as it may have looked 4 billion years ago. The video begins with the flyover of an ancient Martian lake. As time passes Mars shifts from a warm and wet climate to a cold and dry climate. The lake dries up and we see the dusty pink and tan landscape seen on Mars today through images from rovers and orbiters. Take a look:
