MIT Develops Digital Coach and Software to Help People Improve Conversational Skills

MIT has developed software to help people improve their conversational skills. People interact with a computer-generated face when using the software. The software, called MACH (My Automated Conversation coacH), also uses facial, speech, and behavior analysis and synthesis software, to simulate face-to-face conversations. The system uses a computer's webcam to monitor the user's facial expressions and movements and its microphone to capture the user's speech. MIT says its virtual software can help people with speeches, dating, job interviews and more. Take a look:
