Japanese Researchers Develop a Touchscreen For Your Bath

Posted on November 2, 2013

AquaTop is a liquid touchscreen for your bath. Researchers from the Koike Lab at The University of Electro-Communications came up with it. The display is projected onto water mixed with bath salts. The developers say that anything that can be done with a mouse can also be done with the liquid interface. Games can also be played with AquaTop. An example of a game where a ball is used to explode jellyfish is shown in the video. DigInfo TV says, "By using the AquaTop display as a game interface, users are given the sense that parts of their body are actually parts of the game."
