Images of Sunday's Annular Solar Eclipse From Hinode Spacecraft

The Hinode spacecraft is in a low-Earth sun-synchronous polar orbit that permits nearly continuous observations of the sun. The image above was taken by Hinode two minutes after the start of the partial eclipse of the Sun on May 20th. This NASA video shows a series of images taken by Hinode during the annular eclipse. Take a look:
The Hinode is a Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency Solar (JAXA) mission with the U.S. and U.K. Japan's MICHIBIKI satellite also took this image of Earth during the eclipse.
