Huge Dead Whale Shark Found Off Coast of Pakistan

A huge 36 foot long whale shark was hauled out of the water in Karachi, Pakistan using two cranes. The Christian Science Monitor reports that the owner of the boat used to haul in the whale shark claims the enormous fish was dead when they found it. Pakistan citizens stood on the whale shark carcass after it was hauled out of the water.

The whale carcass was sold for $2,200. The buyer of the shark is going to exhibit the carcass at an auction hall and charge people a fee to look at it. The Monitor reports that the buyer of the whale shark also plans to sell the meat to a poultry company, which sounds disturbing. Take a look:
