Heathrow Airport Adds Driverless Pods

Heathrow has added driveless pods, called Personal Rapid Transit (PRT) pods, to carry passengers traveling between its business car park and the main terminal. Heathrow says the pods will carry 500,000 passengers a year. The pods - which replace Heathrow's shuttle buses - were built in Britain by ULTra PRT.

The pods are controlled by a central computer that distributes them according to passenger demand. The pods recharges themselves at battery points located along the route. Take a look:
