Gamera the Tortoise Mobile Again After Leg Replaced With Wheel

Gamera the Tortoise is able to move around again thanks to a wheel he now has for a leg. Gamera's leg had to be amputated by veterinarians at Washington State University's College of Veterinary Medicine during a surgery after Gamera received a severe burn. WSU says the wheel was attached to Gamera's shell with an epoxy adhesive.

NPR says the little wheel the 23-pound tortoise is now using for a leg cost $7. Gamera is an African spur-thighed tortoise. Take a look:
