Flying Object Moves Through the Air by Flipping Itself Inside Out

New Scientist reports on this floating helium-filled band that propels iteslf through the air by flipping itself inside out. Engineers at Festo created the flying object, which is based on a design by inventor Paul Schatz. They call it the Festo SmartInversion and describe it as a "flying geometrical band with inversion drive."

The flying object can be controlled from a smartphone. Take a look:
