Festo Builds a Robotic Kangaroo

Festo has built an impressive robotic kangaroo called BionicKangaroo. The robot was built using pneumatic and electrical drive technology.

Festo says its kangaroo robot "can recover the energy exerted when jumping, store it and retrieve it efficiently on the next jump" just like a real kangaroo. The robot can be controlled with gestures by a person wearing a special armband. Take a look:
