Father Sends Son's Favorite Toy Train Into Space

Ron Fugelseth sent his son's favorite toy train, Stanley, into space. The toy train had a weather balloon, HD camera and an old cell phone with GPS attached to it. The balloon took the toy train 18 miles above the Earth before bursting. The train was recovered 27 miles away in a corn field. Stanley's expressive face was animated with After Effects and Photoshop. Fugelseth notes on the YouTube video page that he followed all the rules for weather balloon launches. He also says he called the FAA 15 minutes before launch, per their instructions. Take a look:
