Europe's Oldest Town Unearthed in Bulgaria

Archaeologists have unearthed a town in eastern Bulgaria they say is the oldest town found to date. The Telegraph reports that the 6.5 feet thick stone walls found in the ancient town date back to 4,700 to 4,200 B.C. The Telegraph and BBC News say the people who lived in the town made salt bricks by boiling water from nearby salt springs and then baking it into bricks in kilns. They then used these salt bricks for trade and for preserving meat. Take a look:
