Driver Narrowly Avoids Falling Trees During Australian Storm

A driver narrowly avoided getting clobbered by falling trees during a storm near Healesville, a town in Victoria, Australia. The video below was record by the vehicle's dash camera.

The car brakes and comes to a stop just before about a dozen trees fall onto the highway. The Herald Sun reports that wind gusts reached over 80 km/hour (50 mph). We suspect the wind speeds were considerably higher than that for all these trees to come down.

The driver told the Herald Sun, "These trees started falling like a deck of cards. One more second — in fact even part of a second — would have put me either under the tree or into the tree."

Another driver coming in the opposite direction also just managed to avoid the falling trees. Take a look:
