CDC Denies Existence of Zombie Virus

Posted on June 5, 2012

The CDC is denying the existence of a zombie virus in the wake of some recent disturbing news reports. In one incident a naked man was found by police to be eating the face of another man. The police shot and killed the suspect. In another incident, a man stabbed himself and threw some of his intestines at police officers. The SWAT team had to be called in to subdue the man after pepper spray failed to stop him. A couple bizarre incidents of cannibalism are mentioned here.

CDC spokesman David Daigle told the Huffington Post, "CDC does not know of a virus or condition that would reanimate the dead (or one that would present zombie-like symptoms)."

The CDC recently used zombies as a preparedness tool by publishing a Zombie Pandemic comic. The CDC calls the guide a "fun new way of teaching about emergency preparedness."
