Adult Deer Found Inside 15.7 Foot Python in Everglades

Posted on October 29, 2011

The South Florida Water Management District found a 15.7-foot long Burmese Python. The python had just recently swallowed a 76-lb adult female deer.

The python is one of the largest pythons ever found in South Florida. The python, pictured above, looks inflated because of the large deer it swallowed. You can see a graphic photograph of the snake cut open to reveal the deer inside in a photo gallery located here.
